I sure miss my crap-haulin' '88 Dakota. I like, don't love, my V6 Passat. Anyone here have a Baja? Have they hit bottom depreciation by now?
Does the back window go down?
    They sure are ugly.

I'm pretty sure the rear glass is fixed because they have a pass-through, which lets you can carry long things the uselessly-short bed.

At the risk of perpetuating yet another Subaru stereotype: just like people say all Forester drivers are lesbians, I have never seen a Baja that wasn't owned by a gay guy.

Not that there's anything wrong with that,in all sincerity.

Think Legacy Outback with a bed for the cargo area, pass through and tail gate extender standard.

    Go like a Subaru.

    Spiritual successor to the Brat

Mount seat in back with ski pools to hold on to and enjoy.

My co-worker has one. They love it.

My friend built his house with that car/truck. It's seen berkeleytons of building materials. Other than squeaky bushings, it's no worse for wear.

We've taken it 60 miles down Padre Island National Seashore.

Then you've never seen me driving mine. Got it a few months ago for a ridiculously low price for being a one owner 36,000 mile car. The front diff was grenaded, so I bought it cheap and converted to a MT with a 5 spd I already had sitting in my basement. I know I could sell it at a significant profit today and probably even a few years from now.

When we first got, she was more into it than I was. But the more I drive it, the more I love it. I've used it to haul a couple of tool chest and boxes of tools from my BIL's in DC. Loaded it with cut up branches and trees to haul to the compost yard.

I always liked them. Makes me wish they would lift the chicken tax and let subaru make one out of an impreza with 2 doors

Just imagine a modern STi Brat

    I've always wanted one.

In 5spd turbo flava. I would do awful things to it, and enjoy every second of it.

That tube bumpered Baja is making my gibbly bits all tingly.

Made in Lafayette, Indiana? Just not digging the yellow ones. (leftover Caterpillar paint?)

I like the all black ones. The two tones are just depressing.

Thank you, that was about a week after I got it back from being blasted and PC'd. When we got it is was rusty silver, just didn't look quite right.

I had 2 of them as company demo's. One silver , one bright yellow.. Worked well .. no complaints. Would love to see one raised a few inches on real tires

    In reply to pete240z:

Lol, yeah it could be. The two plants are only ~3-miles apart.
