New chicanes at uphill & west bend are nasty. The track's just not wide enough to get away with that new uphill chicane and the west bend section was the scene of a much carnage during Friday qualifying. They'll need to pave or concrete over the "new grass" on the islands to make it work, or just keep throwing yellows every 10 minutes for cleanup. They forgot to pave the runoff on the downhill too.
All that being said, the track looks nice and was certainly due for a face lift.

Watching the ALMS race right now, track looks kinda narrow in the new sections. Not bad though, IMO.

They need to do something about the dust/dirt problem and maybe raise the curbs a little. Everyone ignored the curbs as if they weren't there. The new changes made the drivers work a little more and left and escape road for some.

it is still a gorgeous track, and it looks like alot of fun. I personally liked the old configuration, but in the interest of safety and progression, let the games begin. The race was a good one, The winner earned it.
