Hmmm...
Looks like a c4 corvette put through Wonka-vision
I Wonka a corvette.. .. Ok I will stop.
want
I think I'd take one over a Miata, too bad they were never imported here, officially.
I finally saw a Z1 at Lime Rock this year. I didn't like it as much in person as I thought I would.
How the heck do people get plates on stuff like this?

South Carolina...we don't care, and it shows!
Z1 is one of the cars you can import as specialist/important/collector (or whatever that category is called) car and plate it, as long as you don't exceed 2500 miles per year. Plus you have to get permission to sell it (I think from the NTHSA, might be the EPA) and all that fun stuff. But you can get into the country legally and plated.

Yep, it's on the "Show and Display list" which is easily found with the Google, if anyone is interested.
There was a Z1 in the parking lot of Comfort Inn & Suites in Savannah 2-3 weekends ago (the weekend of the historic races).
It was red & had SC plates. Maybe the same car.
There were a couple of them at the Carlisle Import show this year. Cool car.

Better vid about the doors.
Refresh my memory please, what did these have for a drive train?

Translation into English please? Something along the lines of 6cyl 2.5 L with around 170hp depending on which version and 160ish lb/ft.
