well, it looks like i will be adding car number 4 to my driveway...i think the everyone on the street is going to hate me after this..... anyway, i had a gas leak in my 95 subby legecy wagon and took it in for someone to deal with the mess that it was.... and it was one of those thing lets do the sturts as long as you have apart thing... i know the thing was going to be a bitch cause of the what you have to do to get to the tank. first, drop the exhust....no problem...then the driveshaft..still no big deal.....then you have to drop the entire rear end and axles to get at the tank.....and the sturts at the smae time can only be had in just the sturt...not the spring and sturt bolt in...sigh anyway, the mechinac qouted me aprice around $1000 a couple of months ago when i ask him about that and that was puting in a new tank that can only be had from the dealer.... anyway, he looked at once this week a bit and then looked at it better and came back with the price of things going well....1300 or so...but with the car being that old and rusted under her looking more aounrd 1500 or so.....so i said not thanks, not putting that much into it even if i have put new brakes, new clutch, and a tuneup and new tires since oct 2009.... well, that lead me to think about driving it for a little bit more since it only leaks when you fill it off up and only go a 3/4 of a tank works. but that leads to the thought of selling it soon or keeping it and selling the rambler and the stock car that seems to getting no where being finished anytime soon.....sigh but the thing i was thinking is drain the tank and get it to air out for a few days and sayzaw the tank out and replace with a fuel cell in the back, gutting the inside and adding rollbar and racing harness and some junk yard sturts and having a running and cheap drift toy which i have been wanting for years...sigh..... the stock car was to be used for some drifting and autocross and anything else i get around to doing..but since this came up it might be something else.... yes, that 1500 gets a new car and ideas for a new project when i have two other in the driveway and the garage which i dont really have the skill or money to play with...sigh it sucks not being much a grease monky at times sorry, just mostly ranting and raving and thinking very evil thoughts on how to have something ready to play with this year for some racing and the challange.....sigh....
