If you know of an Audi tech that does pre purchase inspections in Ontario, please send me a PM. I might be making the biggest mistake of my life

    Thanks

I always thought it was a Renault.

So yes, it's an '83 urQuattro. It's painted in old rally livery, but is a street car with no cage. Has had what sounds like a nicely rebuilt motor installed. Owner claims its running fine now. I need to get it checked out thoroughly and also sort out how to get it down here and registered. Oh what we'll do for love!

Since it is an old Quattro, you might contact Four Star Motorsports (Frank and Dan Sprongl). They know a thing or two about Quattros.

If you're lucky, Four Star's own Quattro will be there too...

Thank you, how could I forget the Sprongls!?!?!?! I'll call them tomorrow.

Dan Sprongl was happy to help. However the seller, or his car, seem to be a little shy. They don't want to get a checkup. White coat disease?

If anyone knows of an ur Quattro that's a DD'able runner for under $10K, please let me know. Supercoupe, yours is a little more than I can chew right now. There was a gray one in CO about six months ago on Bring a Trailer for $7500. That's what I'm looking for.

    Thanks.

BTW, the reason is simple. When I think of the one car I'd want to own over any other, that's the one I keep thinking of. Yes, it's going to be a bit of work to keep running, but just once I'd like to buy the exact car I want.

Jeff, I know how you feel, I just didn't think I'd ever get mine the way I would have liked it, anyway it just sold on ebay, hopefully to be restored and not parted out.
