    Yeah, that irritates me and makes me think BMW has lost their way (well, I knew they lost their way when they allowed Bangle to design a second car).

    If it was a poser machine, it wouldn't perform like that. Although it would be a fun thing to change the recording so your M5 sounds like an old BRM.

    Why not just let it be quiet inside? I, for one, actually really like a big, quiet, stupidly fast sedan.

    makes the ride that much more terrifying (read: awesome) when you the only evidence you have that you are going fast is visual.
    The '11 gti with every dealer installed performance option is like this. and it is scary
