This is cool... The guy is building a pretty good replica of the family truckster. He's got an original crown from the side of the movie car to make castings from so he's 100% authentic..

Is anybody but me thinking that a giant sheet of Bondo is not exactly the way to promote optimal cooling through the radiator?

The huge opening under it permits sufficient airflow

There's a guy who runs in the Capital Driving Club autocross series near DC in a late 80s Ford Country Squire wagon. It's got a built motor, suspension, and 2 baby seats in the back. And he's got a sweet "Family Truckster" tee shirt. He's pretty fast too.

See video for proof.

Would it be fitting if you always had Billy Squire pumping out of the speakers while autoxing a country squire?

I miss my moms old Country Squire. We got rid of it a year before I got my permit. I wanted to keep it around for when I would learn, but oil leaks, rust, poor mileage, and more rust dictated getting rid of it. Instead I learnd to drive in an Acclaim, yuck

My Mom had a '66 Fairlane 500 Wagon until I was 12 in 1980. Sweet car.
