Wow, that does seem like a steal. Just the chrome and billit bits are worth that.

I believe what he said was:

"put a big V8 in the back seat of that thing, 2 feet from my head.... that would be bitchin'"

isn't the whole reason people crashed those things because they wouldn't follow the tire pressure guidelines, like too much front pressure or something.

At least the folks back in the 60s didn't have to pay an extra $200 per new car for tire pressure monitors because some retards like to drive on 15psi.

The "Unsafe" ones were the swing axle first generation cars. No worse than an early spitfire or bug. These IRS cars were pretty good. likely bitchin with the mid set up. I want that bad.

that is a ridiculous bargain! i paid a grand for mine in 2002. it came with crappy wheels and tires, and had been abandoned since 1986. with some cleanup work and decent tires -- and some kick-ass driving by Alfadriver -- i finished 16th overall at the $2004 Challenge. with another year of development (read: bigger bars and better brakes) it would've been a top-10 overall for sure.

i hope someone on this board got it!
