Its a '92 Collectors Edition and a manual trans, I'll keep you posted. Its in way better shape than my Corrado and has a rebuilt charger and engine. I just don't like the hunter green color, Good thing I'm a Collision Repair AND REFINISHING student ;)

I'm ignorant. Again. What's a Rado? I was thinking El Dorado, but that can't be right.

I'm not exactly sure where a "I may be selling my car and will let you know if I do" post would go.

it's a trade... not a sales... goes in the basic GRM forum... easy :)

sounds like a kewl ride... and nice step with the 5spd... the corrado looks awesome but in FL you can't beat a cabby... sounds like a real sleeper to boot.

You're a real glutton for punishment, aren't you? Don't get rid of a known quantity for an unknown one, especially a swapped G60 car. As you know, the G60 is a tempremental beast, and you have no idea how well the swap was done.

Adding insult to injury, the A1 cabby is about a stiff as a wet noodle. Driving them is incredibly annoying as the chassis flexs everytime you sneeze.

Honestly I'd like to swap for a Miata, Capri XR2 or an X1/9. I have a taste for unique/fun and rare autos punishment indeed. The Swap is well done as the guy that did it also has a 16V Turboo Scirocco among other oddities. I've chatted on the phone with him and he walked me through how to set the timing on my car step by step. Also the same person whom pinpointed the sheared crank keyway. We'll see how it pans out. Now a G60 engine in en X1/9 body.... hmmmmmmm

No offense, but anybody who's been around G60's even a little while knows about the crank keyway problem and timing these isn't rocket science.

All I'm saying is if you go through with this, there are a lot of things to look at to make sure the swap was done correctly. Check out the wiring, what tranny was used, what clutch is in there, how'd he plumb the intercooler and what intercooler is in there, etc, etc, etc...

I got my Corrado running well just fighting issues with that stupid transmission,,, I pulled the harness outta the trans and believe that the grounds have a broken wire in the harness causing it to go into limp mode. I'm gonna get a new harness and see if that fixes the issues with the intermittent short/open circuit. I just get a little overwhelmed with a car that I know so little about.

Heres a link to that car that I may swap for just an idea though nothin for sure.

If I keep it, my next upgrade is st swap out the 096 slushbox for either a 5 or 6 speed.

I think you would be happier with volkswagens if you got something other than a G60. Most people agree they arent really one of VWs best ideas.
