My mom drove one of those for a lot of years. Baby blue with a 4 speed. By the time I was old enough to drive my brother had destroyed it.

Ahhhh I had a 1970 Opel Manta Rallye, blue with black hood and interior. Not a bad little road car! After my Volvo 1800 phase, I got the Opel. It was the first "track" car I owned... and if you look carefully out near Bridgehampton Long Island you might just find it - I blew up the lump there and it was too costly to get it home.... so it ended its life with me @ either a boneyard, or maybe someone resurrected it

We got a junk kadette back in the day for salvage , while airing the tires one blew and my brother in law was kablam d by the tire . We bought 5 opel gt s from a local auction way back in the day $600 . I had them at my house hidden away and sold them to a kid in Tampa for $3500 wow I thought I was king shizzle for the day . One was a race prepped car full fibreglass mods 1992 ish

What was funny all the rednecks at the auction where laughing at me when I was buying them saying them cars are funny to look at through/threw their couple of teeth .

My father had a coupe'.. an actual Rally Homogulation special. A really Kadett Rallye, not the stripe and tape special that came later.

He imported it from spain when we moved back to the states and sold it in 1980.. never knowing exactly how special his car was.. other than it was faster than other opels

That doesn't seem out of line to me. Wish it was just a bit closer...wait, no I don't.

I do have one of those Kadett sedans, and I'd part with it cheap too. For you wagon guys I also have a wagon I'd part with. Both would need drivetrains, interiors, and a little rust repair, but one would come with a set of fender flares...

I also have a nice sunroof equipped, small bumper Manta as well.

Anyone seriously looking for an Opel here should know by now to ask me first, right? Especially since I like trades.
