My dream 6 would be a hatch with the Speed6 drivetrain in it. In black please, thanks.

Change that to wagon, and lets be friends!

    Make that two wagons please.

I like the E63 AMG touring. Something about a wagon that spanks 911 Turbos.

I can just picture the dog pinned to the back glass as Mr. 911's date is looking on confused and laughing at him and his mid-life crisis.

If anyone wants to prove this and wants to give me a 911 Turbo so they can drive the Merc, I will fall on that sword.

The "Sport" package is way more than a grill. Seriously, look at the links I posted above. It is an entirely different front fascia, headlights, grill, side skirts, rear bumper, spoiler, and dual exhaust plus the electroluminescent gauges and 17" wheels. The non-Sport looks ugly.

Having bought a new 6 wagon off the dealer floor, I know exactly what comes with the sport package--and none of it adds peformance, just weight.

All Sportwagons came with 17s and dual exhaust standard. The "sport" package was strictly "looks".

I know it's all show, but I still prefer it (looks sooo much better IMO). I was just pointing it out though, to make sure not to over-pay for one with the Sport Package advertised if it didn't actually have it.

Is the V6/auto combo really that bad?

No, but I think most of us on here want the manual.

I think in the event of a Mazda6 Wagon, I'd automatically look for the front clip off a Mazdaspeed6....

    This is why.

Oh I agree, was just wondering if this auto had a particularly bad rap or something.

The auto isn't bad persay, it's just not spectacular and the slap-shift leaves much to be desired.
