    From CARS

It is still wearing the 205/55r16 Michelin snow tires until I can decide what to do about the 18" wheels.

The OE wheels are polished, there are two wheels that were "damaged" by an accidental chemical spill while being stored. I am considering either re-polishing the wheels OR painting all four wheels in a pewter/graphite color.

AC blows ice cold, the Recaros are super comfy and the paint finish is pretty good throughout. I drove it home for about two Challenge car and feel pretty good about it.

No white wheels. They will either be silver or gunmetal, pewter or graphite.

Also there is a sticker in the back window, I kid of duplicated it to figure out what it is all about...

    It looks like this:

    Any ideas?

Nice! On the wheels, alot for me depends on the style. Can you put up a pic? If it would fit with the style wheel, I'd see about brushing them - making a brushed, not polished, finish - and then clearcoat. I'm just not a fan of polished wheels. Depending on the style, a polished lip with a gunmetal center would look good too.

Looks like a variation of the "Eat The Rich" logo.

I've always maintained that no car is so dependant on wheels for styling as VW's. Nice wheels = hot, ugly wheels, same car = BLAAHHH.

Nice wheels. I vote paint them gunmetal. If you hate the look later you can always strip and repolish.

Those are the exact same wheels I have, except only two are that pretty.

Apparently the sticker is from a local restaurant. I must partake of their food more.

The "damage" on the wheels... washed off. The guy discounted the cost of the car based on he wheel damage... lucky me?

Voted up and quoted for hilarity. (I LOL'ed. My girlfriend hates it when I LOL about electrical jokes. She does that bemused eye-rolling thing.)

I think if you paint the RCs black, it would look good on an all black car...

In for pics of the new wheels (once painted)! I have RCs as well and have thought about going with gunmetal or black.

I'd leave the BBS's silver... or powder coat them silver... as I'm not a big fan of polished wheels... Granted, I'd probably sell them and get some 17's... or even 16's... My personal preference is the Wolfsburg edition RX II. Similar style. VERY common 205/55-16 tires (cheap!) and a more pleasant ride (225/50-16's look nice as well). I'd only run 18's if I were building a FSP or DSP car so I could run those huge 285 V710's...

Yep, definitely lucky you. Call it karma giving back to you for a change. I'd leave them polished then - the thin spokes and lip on that wheel look good polished, and there's no cash outlay or work involved. And, if you decide to sell/trade them they're worth more in their "natural" state.
