MegaSquirt 5.4 P71?

I keep hearing about Megasquirt... Is it doable on a 2000 P71 with the 5.4 swap? What about transmission controls?

i wouldn't bother. the factory setup isn't really holding that one back. get a good mailorder tune for now. make some modifications that matter, and have your ecu dyno tuned.

You just need the cop chip. (I know, there isn't one - it's a joke...)

In (insert your home state here) its illegal to sell it with the cop chip because its unlimited.

Funniest thing is when I tell people I have an ex-police car, they say, "Does it still have the chip?"

I say, "There isn't any chip. The computer is tuned and most of the work is in the transmission actually."

Then I get the, "It's got a 5.4 in it right?"

"Yes... It does now."

I'm not sure a T5 would bolt to a mod motor. Ford put T45s, T56s, and 3650s behind the mod motors.
