    Exactly. That's been my problem with gauges in the center console on a Miata. What I prefer is to put the "nonessential" gauges down there (Boost, EGT, etc.) and put the "shut down NOW" gauges up on the A-pillar right in the line of sight (oil pressure, AFR, etc.)

    I have officially decided against the A pillar pods. At least now I can get back to work on the cage and figure out where to put the gauges later.
