Actually, "Miatas at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca", but that's long.

March 31-April 1st, 2012. Two days of track time at Laguna, plus a haggle of vendors, a BBQ and a reception. $250 per day. Sound levels have yet to be confirmed, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be on the good side of 100dB.

Miatas only (or significant portions thereof) on the track, but cool stuff is more than welcome in the paddock.

Laguna's hard "92 dB" noise limit - that they black-flagged me on - is apparently somewhat squishy. I heard that Laguna gets X number of "noisy day passes " and they're free to pick which events make use of them. I guess if big-dollar events aren't showing up due to the economy, perhaps that's a good thing for smaller events.

We run this event with the support of Mazda. Having your name on the racetrack means you get a certain number of high-dB days, and Mazda's been good to us so far. It does take a certain amount of negotiation, of course, but they're behind this event 100%. Basically, we're using two of their corporate dates. We got 103 dB in 2009 and 2010

There's no way we could get this track for a weekend with high dB rates and be able to offer spots on the track for $250 if it wasn't for their support.

Just my luck - scheduled for one of the two weekends in 2012 I already have commitments for. Was 2 for 2 on this event and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone thinking of going.
