I watched a short TV clip about that the other day. Not really my thing either, but they had some cool and rare cars there.
I want to go to that but it is closed until Summer 2012.
The TOUR doesn't work, it says it's misdirected.
I'm waiting to go once it opens again. The Lane museum is fantastic for odd/interesting vehicles. Definitely worth a visit.
There is a smaller one in Tampa that is worth a look if you are in the area.

I lived 50 miles from this thing for 2 years and didn't even know it?

That's totally my thing. I love microcars, and would have no problem driving even the smallest, goofiest microcars.

Actually, it does. It appears that only the link on that first Messerschmitt roadster's page is broken, because if you start elsewhere, it links fine.
"...there's a smaller one in Tampa that's worth a look".
Almost hilariously redundant: a SMALL microcar museum?
I found that place by accident driving by for a work trip last year but it was closed then too. I haven't managed to make the hour + drive back there but it looks cool as all get out. There's an Isetta on a pole out front, which is what made me slide to a stop in the middle of the road to check it out.
Note it's put together by the Double Bubble bubblegum millionaire. It's on "Double Bubble Acres" No kiddin'.

Well it is a smaller version of the Lane odd/interesting one. I don't think they have too many microcars. More like Tatras and the like.

I pass this place all the time and always wanted to go in thinking it was some sort of bubble gum factory/museum place, lolol. Never knew this was what it really was or I would've tried going in there long ago (assuming it was open). I'll definitely be making the trip as it is only about a 30 minute drive from me.
