Thanks to all of your votes Minissan wins again!
So far I've won back half of what it cost me to build. It's won every judged contest (internet and car shows) along with this peoples vote contest (Thanks again!), while always drawing the biggest non stop crowd at major car shows, yet no US mags will cover it....hmmmm... Along with the cover of MiniWorld, it's the feature Mini in a book being published in the UK "Mad Minis". Things that make you go hmmmmmm.....

Sweet. When the MiniWorld cover came out I also rearranged every news stand I saw it on in NY so that people could see it. Usually right on top of Time, People ect.

"I wonder why no major mags will cover it? " I was told by a freelance writer for two big mags that Minissan won't sell any of the advertisers stuff. I guess it's all about the advertisers, the readers/subscribers come in second. The editor I met at SEMA from Car Craft wasn't interested at all, he said they feature street rods and hot rods... When I said how Minissan gets the biggest all day crowds at major street rod and hot rod shows he said, "Yes, but I have to look after our readers." I guess their readers don't go to street rod or hot rod shows. Once I figured He would do nothing, I said, but I have less in my entire build than most the cars you feature have in their front seats. He said, "probably.." How can they call it Car Craft?? It's the case of the editor telling the readers what is out there and that's why soooooooooo many of the street rods and hot rods look the same, a formula presented by the mags that sells all the same stuff through their advertisers. That's why on the back of Minissan I have "Built not Bought" I guess my next project won't get any US ink either, but it will stand out against the $100,000+ cars I'll be competing against, yes I'll wear the nose.

that is very cool and congrats mike, that suckks about being snubbed about the car mags though, you could just start sending in pics for thier readers rides section though.
"you could just start sending in pics for their readers rides section" I did that at about 7-8 mags and won each of Rides of the Month and a pile of T-shirts. I guess their readers didn't vote since Minissan won... I think that's where the Car Craft guy saw Minissan before. He really needs to be more specific to his readers on what they are allowed to like.... revenue generating cars for the mag... Only in America (quite possibly)...
I'd send in some pics to PowerBlock and Stacy David's Gearz, I know I know neither is the best but it would get you good exposure and both feature cool custom rides every now and again. I'd talk to whoever has parts on your car (nitrous system, tires, etc) that aren't custom and see if they'd be interested in featuring your car in one of their ads, if you dont' ask them for money (at first) and they get an amazing car to show off, your noterity will grow (which may lead to $)!
