The headlights on my 95 golf just stopped working. The bulbs and fuses are good. Also the hazard button doesnt work but the turn signals still work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Happy

Well, VW has that safety feature that turns off the headlights while the marker/parking lights stay on when the ignition barrel is turned to the off position. May have something to do with that circuit.

    In reply to mrhappy:

VAG puts all the headlight current thru the control switches you operate. Especially if the headlights were "upgraded" to higher wattage, this take a toll on the switch contacts. I found failure of the switch itself to be a common problem. Often the hi-beam flasher will still work since it feeds thru separate switch contacts and is less used.
