My girlfriend and I are planning on going to the Montreal GP next month. I'm interested in the general admission tickets, that's what I would get when I went to the Detroit GP all those years ago. I liked being able to wander around and see more of the track. And it's a hell of a lot cheaper too.

So what are the general admission views like at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve? Can you see a fair amount of the track? Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

I don't know what it's like now but I did general admission there 4 years ago. There were good views of almost all the corners available. I did notice watching last year that the very best viewing spot had bleachers on most of it now. Best advice is to arrive EARLY on race day - like 4 am early - so you can run to a good spot and set up chairs. I watched from a spot just inside the gates that had a good view of the braking zone and entry into the hairpin as well as one of the video screens and was quite pleased all day, and wandered corner to corner during the practices on Sat to get a flavor of the track. The pit lane walk on Friday is a must attend so you can chat with crew members and peer into the garages. Have fun!
