According to the MotoIQ article, it is 5x100...

They were disappointed that it wasn't 5x114.5 (same as STi, Evo, Z, Mustang, RX-8, etc.)

Looks like an updated 510 to me........

All this time I thought jokes were supposed to be humorous?

The joke was chuckle-worthy at best, but I don't think anyone missed that the sketch is supposed to be an updated 510. Given, it's a piss-poor Boyd Coddington impersonator's impression of a 510, but regardless...

Well here is the inevitable news of a turbo FA20. This time it is MotorTrend adding fuel to the fire.

Maybe this will shut up the NEEDZ MOR POWA internet "performance experts" who expect a boxer 4 to be a Supra replacement. Either way it will be interesting to see if they do this after denying it for so long. My money is on something that says WRX.

I bet it winds up more expensive than a BRZ in the long run. Even in Canada.

The Nissan 510 is an idea that Steve Eastwood put together. This might be a better picture.

That one I'll believe when it hits the showroom floors. All of the original tC brochures showed a factory-option twinscrew that near as I know never actually arrived.

There was a TRD Supercharged tC option. There were quite a few rolling around here locally.

I see more early 90s Sentra than 510 in that thing.

One thing I just thought of. Part of the popularity of the subie turbo's is the ECU tuning options. The open source community had pretty well got it dialed in. I'm guessing a new engine with some new technology is going to require some new reverse engineering to tackle the ECU. I'll be interested to see how it works out.

Better example would be the stillborn TRD supercharger for the IS300. Only example in existance was on the yellow IS pace car. They promised for awhile then nothing.

That's fine, a supercharged 2jz is sacrilege anyways.

+1. The proportions are way the hell off, and the thing isn't quite symmetrical either. When you look at some of Eastwood's other stuff it all makes sense. No thanks.

I think this is what the children would look like if a Chysler 300C mated with a Sentra (which would have to be on top, obviously)

I dunno, I like that Neo510. I think I would can the aero bumpers and the too deep chin spoiler, do something a little smaller with the bumpers and that might put it where it needs to be. Maybe make the greenhouse a little taller too.

MotoIQ has another excellent article on what you can expect for suspension and brakes:

I also like the Neo510. I see a lot of E30 in the design, especially from the side. Add the "kink" and BMW would be sending letters... Maybe it helps that I don't really hold the original 510 to be anything all that special. It's a neat car and all, but I've never really hankered to own one. The Neo, on the other hand... I would consider one - especially the wagon variant, depending on the price.

Those guys confuse me. It sounds, at first, like a good technical analysis, but they base everything off of how it would affect it to lower it. I dunno, maybe it's me, but with a factory effort as good as that one, it's probably going to handle better without F-ing with it. MotoIQ is hit or miss with me.

I read that article as it's good the way it is, so don't go F-ing with it. But, we know some of you reading this will so here's how you're gonna screw it up.
