I dunno who this guy is, but he's not Max Mosley!
Its Jean Todt, former Team Manager of Ferrari F1
Todt had the complete backing of Mosley. To many, he is Max re-incarnate.
Time will tell if he has the strength to bring stability to the FIA, or if he follows the path of his predecessor.
Jean has long been part of the "inner circle", so I expect more of the same.
Something positive is that Todt's "team" includes former SCCA president Nick Craw.
It will be refreshing to get a Ferrari guy in charge so they can get a fair shake.

Ha , that's a good one. No bias now.
(I see your sarcasm and raise you +1)
now onto Bernie
Anyone read the latest comments from that little prick? http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/21/in-bad-taste-ecclestone-calls-sennas-death-good...
time for that mofo to get lost. He used up his 15 minutes three hours ago...
Now Mosley can devote himself full-time to Nazi-themed orgies. I'm sure he'll be pleased.
(For those to whom this doesn't ring any bells: Max gets his freak on )
Too bad- I was really hoping for Ari.
So basically, we will get no change, and leaning toward Ferrari.

When I started reading the article I thought "Oh it's probably just a misunderstanding, he's probably trying to say Ayrton Senna's death lead to a lot of important safety advancements that have saved lives since."
Autoblog said:Clarifying his comments, Ecclestone noted that while it was "unfortunate" to have lost the three-time world champion widely remembered as history's greatest driver, the publicity his death generated ultimately helped the sport attract new followers.
Stupid douchebag...
Interesting to see a picture of ol' Bernie with his hand in his OWN pocket, for a change....
I found it interesting that both candidates had some rally background. At least Todt has been involved in more than just F1.
Much though I like Ari Vatanen (saw him drive the Peak - wow!), I think Todt should do an excellent job. He's an ex-codriver (organizational skills and logical, right?), team principal for Peugeot during its WRC/Pikes Peak/Dakar days, then on to Ferrari and F1, so he's got experience in both of the top FIA series, plus he's a good administrator and team builder. I don't really think he'll be a simple Ferrari front man.
Ironically, Todt's #1 driver when he ran the Peugeot Group B WRC team was - Ari Vatanen.
After Max and JM Balestre, Todt should be a big improvement.

In fact, we might see quite the opposite. Knowing the appearance of favoritism he may go out of his way to be fair in his decisions. Might even try to control Bernie a bit.
