    Kinda neat to watch.

Is he faster up the hill drifting/sliding the corners or would he be faster not spinning the tires?

I know I would be eating a guard-rail about the second corner......

Slower but fun factor would be huge

    Probably faster not spinning tires.

However, it IS cool to watch, isn't it?

External cameras and driving style = "show, not "go".

    Looks like fun, though.

Dude drives a Morris 1000, how would he know

Looks like loads of fun, but definitely slower that way.

How many sets of tires per weekend?

    He's a drifter...Not the fastest, but fun.

Would have like to see the external cam footage of that. I find the exhaust amusing, dragging on the ground in the middle and routed through the rear tag bracket.

same guy at Nurburgring drift event... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz5cXf-QWxc I have the same grant wheel in my wagon.

I've done more drag racing than most, but I will admit it I don't know squat about turning. Flame away.

I understand the excessive spinning is wasted, but as a retard, it fools me into thinking that he might be able to carry more speed deeper into the corner and on the corner exit, the car looks like it is in pretty good shape?

Been to 1 autocross here at Lakewood here in Atlanta many many years ago. Had the best time talking to some guy with an obnoxious flared dark gray V8 Trans Am. Fast time of the day car battling against a black Z28. There seemed to be little love involved getting it around the track. It was brutally ugly sliding the corners and then "point and shoot" to the next corner all around the track.

Now you done it. The Major Minor is coming to the $2012 Challenge. I have a special surprise under the hood (well, mid-engine, really). If I am not deep in the 9's.......I should do a build of the junk that is going together? 1000hp? I need a driver for the autocross, if anyone wants to help out? T

    You met Rich Shafer.

What's keeping you from going back and competing on the local level? Seems like a lot more fun than looking for a Challenge driver.

This question is like saying to Vaughn Gittin, Jr. that he would be faster around the drift course if he didn't spin the rear tires of his Mustang.

Based on the "drift" in the title, I'm going to guess this was some sort of drift exhibition at the hill climb. Awesome run, though!

well up towards the top of the course it was noticably wet, so the time lost might not be as great as on the dry lower half, but it was definitely slower. still looked (and sounded) bloody awesome though, it was a wonderful demonstration of skill and I do quite like that center-rear exit exhaust

Pick me, pick me....seriously I will have mine there but would love to turn the wheels on something like that, remember as an Aussie I saw many Morries back in the day.

Pretty good driving, but not fast. Also the worst sounding Ford v8 I've ever heard. I would swear it was a boosted four or six, but maybe the audio was just crappy. I'm not sure why you'd want a 5L to make that kind of noise.

It was fun to watch and how many fox body Mustangs are racing around Europe? I give it a +1 and leaving it at that.

    Because it's Yooouropeeean.

Though I agree... the noise was very un-5.0.... un-V8 even.

If you want to see a Mustang going fast up a hill you can check out this youtube channel.

    Mr. Evil Racing Channel

It is a Mach 1, and is supercharged as of this year (2011).

Just take out the steering wheel, you can drive that car with just the throttle!

Big motor, big power, big tire spin is always alot of fun.

No one likes a car that likes to bite its owner?

I guess you need to modify the quote "If you can leave two black marks between each corner AND around every corner..."
