    had to press the offset M3 bushings and lollipops onto the e30 today....so had to fab up some kind of ghetto tool out of whatever was sitting around the garage to pull it on (it's a VERY snug fit and my BFH wasn't getting anywhere).

    The concept is pretty standard, I'll admit....threaded rods, nuts, backing plate through the LCA holes.

    But I think I used one part that isn't so common.....

    so random, the centerbore of the GT6 hub was exactly the right size to push on the metal lips of the M3 bushing. It really couldn't have been a more perfect end for the "tool" if I had ordered something from BMW itself.....

    The lesson here is that at least in one case, British part owns German part!

    Nice, but please tell me there were some jackstands just out of frame. I replaced mine with poly they just slide right on, rubber is dumb.

    lol, when I posted that picture I thought to myself "that doesn't make me look very smart".....

    But in reality the jack was just there so I could raise the car up a bit to push the front jackstands farther back on the rails to give myself some room to work .
