First the Bad: This car did come from Ohio after all:

Bent hood at the corner. Also has a dent in the middle. I have a perfect hood already, but in gray.

Rotted Doors: both look like this, but both still close solidly. I might not worry about these until spring when I can replace and paint them with the gray ones off of my 91

Small amount of sill rust. I guess I need to cut this section out of my 91 also.

    Now for the good stuff:

Not bad for a car from ohio. She has a couple of spots underneath that will be brazing up, painting, and undercoating. The fenders are all perfect, with no rust on any of the lips. The paint, while not washed or even waxed, still looks glossy. She is a 10foot car now due to the doors (barely noticible) and the hood

Looking good - I like those and 99s (my first car was a 99). I still occasionally consider getting another one.

That makes me miss my 900. Mine looked just like that exept it had a cloth interior. One day I will have another.

she looks a lot better than I anticipated.

Sad thing is.. I paid extra to have her shipped as a "non-operable" car due to how the previous owner explained how the transmission would just lock up.

So it goes forwards about 10 feet.. stops with a jerk that rolls you back.. let the clutch out, add gas.. it rolls forward another 10 feet or so.. Driver had NO issues getting it on the trailer.. but still charged me the extra $100 for non-op

Not to shabby, I have a 900s (1997) seems to pretty fun disspite the lack of a third peddle. Mine has some rot going on where the car brush'd up against sone, other wise mine clean.

I have to say at looking more and more at my car.. I am not sold on the tan leather interior. Been wondering how a black interior on a black car would look

I can't imagine how hot a black on black car would be in the summer. They also came with a gray interior. That might be a nice choice if you could find one.

My 91 is grey with the grey interior.. very drab. The seats also fell apart

Oh, I agree; my 525i is black over black. The comment regarding heat is based on extensive experience. And burns.

Love it! Love the 900's. Who cares about the rust, just drive, maintain and enjoy.

What is this "sone" that you brushed against.

The more time I spend with my 91 900S convert, the more I like it.Of course it needs more power. Am working on getting a Turbo parts car with a nice gray interior to cure that. Will let you know if I get it.
