I always judge a vacation by food. However I couldnt remember Murrell's Inlet last nite when I originally responded.
I havent been to Myrtle Beach in over 10 yrs but that is where my parents took us growing up.
Villa Romana downtown on 17 has great, if a little pricey Italian food. If Mike the acordian player is there, ask him to play "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morisson. It's a riot on the accordian
Murrells Inlet is pretty (my oldest brother lives there) but talk about an overpriced tourist trap.
The River City Cafe has the best burgers on the planet. If you order the onion rings, be prepared for a BIG surprise.
Not a whole lot automotive related except for the various go cart tracks. But if you go to the Freestyle Music Park, you will see (among others) Abomination and Jensenator tracks in the parking lots.
Freestyle Music went toes up this year, no cash, no open.
Oh, Oh, I know!! Try to find a miniature golf course, (it'll be tough, but search hard enough, and you can find one).

I have some friends that perform in the Carolina Opry. Very entertaining!
HSR races are in Savannah today, but its a drive from Myrtle Beach. That's where we are this weekend.
