NASCAR has banned testing at all tracks they race at. This includes Daytona preseason testing. Article on Speed.com Reason to lower cost on teams. Teams with money will still test.

Does seem like this is CANOE racing. But I think maybe NASCAR should consider getting rid of the practice... as well as running the races in parking lots marked off by cones.... that would keep the costs down.

No, that's not a canoe. Big Wrench is a reader and just letting us know about that new policy. I'm confused as to how they think it'll save Nascar money. Don't they rent the track to teams for gobs of money? Wouldn't that then MAKE money?

I thought that companies like ISC etc owned and operated the speedways and that NASCAR etc leased them for race days.
