for the e30
the car is going to rallycross, in the dusty summer heat, idling alot and sitting around. I want to keep the engine bay as cool as possible while keeping the hood down, and also want to get some exit route for air to reduce front-end lift at highway speeds, especially since this is already a light car and its getting lighter all the time....and it sits up high on tall springs.
the simple/cheap way is just to get some random pep boys vents or home depot vents and cut the hood and bolt them on. Sure.
the awesome/expensive way is to get some high-end motorsports vents or other type of custom install.
I want the cheap way that will also look good. Because even though this is a budget beater rallycross car, I still want it to look good, lol. I'm vain like that.
Ideally, something like the hood vents from a GC impreza is the look (and functionality) I prefer, but the profile of those won't quite work with the e30 hood I don't think.
So....any suggestions? Pics encouraged....links encouraged....where to get said suggestion encouraged.
