    Subject line says it all...

I've got a disassembled Jaguar in my parents' garage. Mom just bought a new car and wants the extra space in the garage back. Fair enough.

I don't have a truck, much less a trailer, and I need to haul the thing 600 miles west. Anybody bringing an empty trailer west to Kentucky/Ohio anytime soon?

Barring that, creative ideas about how to get this car out here?

    Thanks, everybody. Matt

I hate that city, you ask for directions to somewhere and the response "it is off New Circle Road". No kidding! Sorry I have nothing to contribute to the conversation other than that.

My profile picture is taken ON New Circle... Calumet Farm in the background.

Seems like when I ask for directions, I get "You know where such-and-such used to be?"

Are you actually going to do the Jag, or should you sell it? As I recall, it's been there in pieces a number of years.

PODS or similar type container they leave at your house, you fill it up and they move it to were ever you want.

Treb and I have discussed offline. I can probably get this as far as Nelson Ledges in Ohio the weekend of the Lemons race (Oct 3/4) if someone could get it from there and take it down to Lexington.

So come up to see the Lemons fun and then help out a GRMer by dragging home the project of his dreams.

I'm doing it. I'm in, my wife is in. It sat there for too long because I fell in love with a Kentucky girl and moved out here.

But now, it needs to move -- and when it gets here, I'll start working on it.

Selling it might be a smarter thing to do. But there are car-based urges that have nothing to do with what the smart thing to do would be. The S1 e-type has pushed all my buttons, since about the time I could walk.

So how's your buddy getting on with his MG? Matt

I used a car hauling company (I posted about it previously) and the company I ended up using was fine, I can get you their info. I am actually in Maryland /DC area as I type this but I live in Northern Kentucky, I would help any way I can but I fly in and out of here on business usually.

Good. I well understand car urges having nothing to do with fiscal inteligence. Though I did try to rationalize buying the Miata as a gas and therefore money saving expense (honey, we'll make money if I drive a Miata!).

Ralph is doing well with his MG. I think we're going to the Rocks show this weekend with it.
