-WRX STI (not 6 cyl, but fits the other criteria)
-BMW 335ix
-Miata w/ $37,000 powertrain upgrade (if you want to call the convertible top the 3rd door)

So far the WRX STI is in the top 3
VW R32 and AUDI A3 with the 3.2 are the other two.
I have heard rumors of a focus with 5cyl turbo and AWD, but like most of the good hot hatches I don't think it will be offered here
Did they get the piston ring eating issues solved with the new STI?

How about an A4 wagon? That would be easier to get to as much power as the STi, and is available quattro, 6 speed stick, AND AWD.

R32 is gone... (stopped making it last year) (unless you buy used)
how about 335ix?
Legacy GT?

Whoa, a bit anxious there aren't we? Seems a bit early to start thinking that way. Who knows, by then the 335 could suck, Porsche could be out of business, the STI could be discontinued in the states or the world could have ended.

What he said.
I'm all for planning ahead, but damn, my ideal car to purchase changes weekly I cannot fathom thinking ahead 2 or 3 years. Won't we be running dangerously close to 2015 by then? In that case, I'll take a flying E24.
sort of related, someone built a replica of this car! http://jalopnik.com/5067674/man-restores-griff-tannens-hover-bmw-from-back-to-the-...

Some 2010s are coming out now....The 335ix you cant get in a hatch, no turbo for the wagon

I wish it was lighter, but it's a great car to drive.
An alternative is a Fusion Sport- one with the 3.5l engine in it.
(Either way, even though it's THAT far out, IF (and it's a big IF at this point) the choice is an F product, feel free to contact me directly. Don't let that really change your decision, just an offer).

my vote goes to the Legacy GT, maybe by then the aftermarket will copy some of the recently unveiled Legacy B4 bits and pieces.

he said he's looking for 3 or 5-door, so that would leave it to the ecoboost flex, or the new lincoln ecoboosted crossover, MkT(?)
