Hey everybody, I frequently check this board but never got around to joining so today was the day! Just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I'm in engineering school and am involved with Formula SAE so that takes up a good bit of my time. I've done a little driving for FSAE and will be more this year. I also like karting and have done a little bit of autocross, but I'm much more interested in track events. Haven't ever done a track day but I love going to VIR so hopefully I will one day soon.

If you're local to Raleigh, join the Tarheel Sports Car Club.
No affiliation with the University at all, mostly mature car nuts. They do at least one track day at VIR a year, several autocrosses and rallycrosses and tech days as well.

aussiemg: I don't have any pics on my computer but I'm going home for Christmas break tomorrow so I'll have to post some in my profile!
I'm at NC State now and I've actually done a few autocrosses with THSCC, but I'm not a member. I went to one at Cape Fear community college once. I'm not really into autocross now though, I would rather do track days but I'm waiting to get another car so I don't trash my daily driver.
Unevolved: We are going to Michigan and we are also trying out the new Formula North event up in Canada. What about you?

Oh and TRoglodyte, just sprint karts so far. I've run at VIR's kart track a lot and also at Charlotte Motor speedway. Mostly just 4 strokes though. I want to try out TaG karts or shifters, but I don't really know anyone with one.

We're going to be at Lincoln. FSAEM is the exact same day as our graduation.
