Anyone else inspired by the basic bodywork series? My 1987 325is was experiencing the typical paint degradation the late-80's metallic BMWs have, and Inka was a welcome change from Bronzit.

    Before:

    During:

    And then, finally:

she looks really nice. I just went through all that with my Saab, so I understand where you were coming from.

I like it. Owning an orange 510, I often wondered how my 318is would look orange. Now I know.

    Nice work, that looks fantastic!

Also a cool homage to the 2002, (which I believe was quite popular in Inka.)

Looks very nice... someday I must learn to pretty up what I build. I always end up with great fast cars that look like A$$.

Where in PA are you taking the lake pics?

Montrose, PA. That's about 1/2 mile from my house.

Don't you love it when you do something on your car and it turns out like in the plan?

Paint/bodywork is labor intensive, but the results are worth the time. Stopping rust is a big plus. You'll be glad you took the plunge and became a bodyman a few years from now when you don't have to replace sheetmetal because it's become holier than thou.
