With the price well into the stratosphere, it will require somebody with REAL deep pockets to put one on a race course. "Go out, beat everybody else, but DO NOT STUFF IT IN THE WALL!!!!"

Looks cool, but not as cool as the new SLS Gullwing. This will probably out perform the E36 M3 out of the Gullwing though.

And the Gullwing was engineered off of all things... the Viper.

I agree. When are we going to see some really futuristic design for a supercar? Like a seam down the entire middle of the car so it can open clamshell-style? Or active carbon fiber that changes shape at speed? Or hover tires? Or jet packs? Something!

No, I will go with the saying of Ron White.

"Once you've see one woman naked, you pretty much......
    want to see them all."

It's hard to find a mid-engine exotic that's not derivative. for comparison:

A more favorable comparison: Three generations of mid-engine Ferrari’s

I don't think there is anyother way to to a mid engine. It even smakes of NSX. I guess the MR2 would be different, buth then the MR2 is not really an exotic.

That middle ferrari si dead berkeleying sexy.

Well, it is no more expensive than an F430 or a 911 GT3 RS...people still race those...GT2 class LM style racing seems to be thriving, might be a good place to put one...A Le Mans win would do wonders for the marketing department!

For me it looks like a "street tuner" tries to turn his Mitsu Eclipse into a Ferrari and also throws a little Tesla in the mix. Oh yes, and - of course - he also adds an aftermarket "Lambo door" kit Not my cup of tea...

I agree that McLaren sorta looks like the mid engined supercar Hyundai would build. It just seems sort of generic to me in the styling department.

Not that I am a potential customer no matter what the styling as I don't have a bazillion dollars of disposable income or even the desire to own a car worth more than my house.

I would take without complaint as a free gift any of the cars pictured in this thread.

    Cool pics there Nderwater!
Could someone please name off the Makes/Models?

    I think I can name about 6

I like the McLaren, even if it does look like the Ascari. Sorry, but it really doesn't look anything like the 458 Italia.

As for the pics from Nderwater, in order top to bottom:

    • Ferrari 458 Italia
    • McLaren MP4-12C
    • Lotus Evora
    • Ascari A8/A10
    • Audi R8
    • Lamborghini Gallardo
    • Ferrari F430
    • McLaren F1

    Second Picture:

    • Ferrari 458 Italia
    • Ferrari 288 GTO
    • Ferrari Dino

I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed that I knew all of those without Google...

If we're already start to compare great looking mid-engine supercars, could we please add this one as well

CAn I please have two of the 288 GTOs, one red and one yellow thanks you. Small displacement twin turbo V8s are a nice way to spend an afternoon.
