Haven't bought an issue in awhile, couldn't find it on the newsstand, maybe they were out???

    GRM is prescription only.

It seems to be dependent on the store - I originally discovered both GRM and CM either at a Borders or a Barnes & Noble in the Bay Area but I'm pretty sure the store up here doesn't carry GRM.

Borders here carries them.. as does the nearest B&N (45 minutes away)

I go to a local magazine shop.

I can't subscribe to magazines, the only thing I ever get out of it is a bill in the mail.

I usually pick them up at Books a Million.

B&N and Borders should both be pretty reliable sources. If you don't see any at one of those stores, it's probably because they're sold out, or that particular store has not put out the next issue, or it's gotten behind something else. Might not be a bad idea to ask the manager if they have it.

We can always tell when someone else from the office has been at our local Barnes & Noble because their entire stock of GRMs are front and center.

Of course, the best way to find every issue is to subscribe, but you knew that already.

A LOT of the availability has to do with the local publications distributor, and his contracts with B&N, Borders, and who's paying what for the LIMITED shelf availability. A disgruntled distributor, and, well, forget about seeing a mag or publication on a news stand/book store.

So who else here moves GRM to the front of the rack and sticks Motor/Road&Driver in the back?

When I worked at Books a Million as the magazine specialist I always did it.

You can only get it from a Doctor? Is it covered by insurance?

I found CM but not GRM at my local borders, which i found odd, but I did find grm in a small magazine hut that didn't have many car mags, which is also odd.

I've found GRM in the oddest places... including my mailbox. I like it when I find it there.

You guys must not be doing as well catering to the mail carrier market, my issues hit my mailbox way sooner than they used to.

My mailperson seems to have had a preference for CM and Practical Performance Car (one of my fave UK mags).

I actually resubscribed after a 5 year absence after seeing an issue in a Kroger just outside of Woodstock GA. I was starting to autocross after having been out of road racing for about 10yrs. "Oh, yeah! Tim & Margie's little mag! That'll help!".

It ain't so little no more..

And, yeah..almost forgot! When I see GRM on the rack anywhere, I move the whole stock right up front. And then move a copy of Maxim (if that month's issue has a half nekkid girl on the cover) right beside it.

I would never think to do such a thing. When Guido's Mini was in a Mini magazine I liberated him from the dark british mag corner and put it out with the rest of car mags
