That's Jebson's 1800 (I forget his first name). He usually runs at the WG Vintage Festival in Sept as well. I've got a bunch of pictures of his car I've taken over the years. Got any of the other 1800?

    Ian:

    It's about the 10th one down on ~this link~

I've seen two other run with us too. I used to own a Ford 289 V8 P1800 (built as a test bed by Volvo North America in the late 60s).

Cool. Thanks! I've seen that 1800 at WG as well. I really hope that some day I can be out there with my ES as well...

Do you have any pics of the V8 1800? I've heard of the car and have seen a few grainy pictures, but not much info really exists in the 1800 world. From what I gather, they had to chop the hell out of the firewall to get the engine to fit (clear the front suspension).

No shots of the V8 P1800. I owned it over 30 years ago and did not realize what I had (until much later). I believe the next owner parted it out, so I doubt it survived.

I've always loved the Saab Sonnet. I have no clue why.

    Because of it's pure awesomeness?

I, on the other hand, insist on completely conventional racers like this one.
