    Yes, you have to drop the exhaust system to get to the shifter. And then there's a heatshield in the way too.

    Still thinking I have a gutted car here, shell in Boston? 750 asking price on the shell, might get a better price than that. But what would it cost to fab a cage in the current car? Assuming I can find somewhere to pick up material at scrap price or a bit above, I should be able to do it for alot less. dunno....thinking on it.

    Also couldn't win overall with that shell, former race cars compete in the same class as locost/hotrod etc....
