Wow, what a bunch of cool stuff! I posted some pics from Friday's concours tent and walking the pits: $2009 GRM Pics
Drags today, should be great, lots of cars look pretty capable. I'm going over now.

Did the Fiat ever get running?

Yes he got a time on the books.
Lotsa bad luck stories including the Maverick with a vented pan and the 5.0 1st gen RX7 with a shortened camshaft.
Mine just sucked but many did not. Bryce ran a decent time with 40% less power to the electric engine
As a mere mortal just being present in the company of such legends as the Nelsons, Team Gutty and others and the new breed with Bryce, Texas AN and others was humbling.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the Challenge competitors who came out to play with MSCC today on the test track at our autocross. We had a blast watching you.
Oh, and the yellow bug/hotrod mashup - Andy's car(???) - is wonderful!

The heartbreak... Ended up as a spectator with an MG shaped door stop instead of a first-timer. Lots of lessons learned though. I'll be back.

13.85 with a 105. This car left time on the track. With more development chassis-wise, they could see high 12s at least. Bring it back next year sorted out and challenge the top three. Great job everybody!

What is the story on the JRG(Jewish Racing Gold) Aries #27 looked nice and the protege5 who turned up one of those for challenge money?

I don't know what's more disturbing the fact that "someone" almost beat the Fiat on a bicycle or the fact that the Fiat only barely beat the bicycle.
OR! the fact the fiat went home in the bed of a F250 or F350.

Bryce & Co. was awarded "Best Engineered" and "Spirit of the Event." Thanks for the contributions, gang! Minus the bee stings, ants in my pants, and sun, it was a blast!
The fiat didn't have the slowest run of the day...

I had major clutch issues with the 500, and was only able to run in one gear down the 1/4. Wanted to get a time in though even if it was the slowest.
