Will proportional quantities of different weights of the same brand of oil combine to form a neutral viscosity?
I.E: Does one quart of Castrol GTX 10W40 plus one quart of Castrol GTX 20W50 equal two quarts of 15W45?

assuming they're miscible i don't see why not.
it seems like that would make sense, so this being chemistry, i doubt it.
It's supposed to work that way.
