great car, nice to see vintage Hondas keepin' it real.

this thread inspired me, i just jumped on a bargain set of factory wheels for my Honda.

Tracking down some center caps then I'm trying to decide whether to have them repainted silver or have them stripped and polished instead...

sorry for the threadjack! thanks for the inspiration! these will suffice until I can find a smokin' deal on some 15x7s.

I'm pretty sure that the four hole Accord rims are 5.5" and the multi-hole Accord rims are 5".

If that were the case...lolol. I need a set of those, then! If the multi-hole is 5" (which I've heard), would the 175/50-13 tire fit on it? I believe the narrowest the wheel can be is 5.5."

I had a set of four holes with 185/60 13s on my '79 Civic 1200.

Another option might be having a set of 4x120 wheels mounted in larger 14 or 15 inch 'hoops.'

There was someone on four eyed pride a fox body mustang site that mounted some small TRX rims into larger 16 or 17 inch hoops and came out with a great looking wheel that could run a modern tire.

I can't explain it, but for some reason seeing it on those factory rims makes me happy somewhere deep inside.

I want to see this hoop thing done. Sounds interesting.

Woody, I'm definitely going to be on the prowl for a set of those Accord wheels. Thanks for the tip!

My goodness no, lolol. I couldn't imagine 14" or (especially) 15" wheels on that car.

Do you happen to have a pic of that or of the wheels?

Sorry, that car predates the digital age. Not just me owning a digital camera, but their actual existence.

I must be getting dopey from the heat, I would totally rock that Accord.

That is the best generation Accord ever. My friend's dad had the "SE" generation-ending version which was only available in metallic grey with a dove grey leather interior. It had a 5-speed, too. I wanted that thing so badly! It got totalled when a delivery van ran off the road, jumped a bank, and landed on top of it in his parking lot.
