Are there 1000 of us on the board here? $250 each and you get to say you own an F1 car.

That almost sounds too cheap for a real F1 car

Not with the market down, how many people could afford it, then of those who would want it.

Remember it will cost as much, at least, to actually run it.

I bought a set of Porsche wheels off Pelican this summer and when I got to the guy's house, he opened the garage door (mahogany floors) and had two complete F1 cars and a spare chassis inside.

could you even run one of these w/o a whole support crew of engineers and technicians? As F1 engines go, the DFV is one of the more simple ones but still....I'd say there's no way a privateer could run it. It would be akin to a good private pilot buying a 747

I agree, it would be cool to see it in a museum, but I would have no desire to own it. Even if it was free, it would be on ebay right away.

dude, we got a whole website full of qualified individuals right here! Best of all, I think most would work for a small share of the driver's seat (or beer).

that'd be short lived. Ever seen the F1 cars at Goodwood piloted by privateers? They usually don't make it up the hill
