they dont make a GMC look sexier than a GMC without it, but they make it undoubtedly sexier than this turd:

the CX7 isn't bad. The CX9 is a hunk of turd.
(I think a "murdered" CX7 with the GMC box flares, lowered on some multispokes would look awesome.)

Basically, it's like those makeover shows where they take a frumpy mom and carry on about how sexy she is post-makeover when in reality, she's not.

The old Foresters were not a crossovers though. They were based on a 4 door car chassis so it was an AWD wagon.
The new one is too far gone too look like a wagon anymore though. and also not something I think an older Forester owner would really like in comparison.

One of my favorite flared E30 racecars (BMWCCA CMOD racer Mike Akard):
on 18x10 wheels and 285mm tires
an older setup with 16x10 Real Racing wheels
I'm going to try to make flares like these for our E30 $2010 Challenge car.

I was just looking at the MGB GT today with some wheels on the back. Seems to me a proper box flare should be fairly easy on the rear, but the front would be a challenge to pull off well. I don't think I'm the guy who's going to do it, but the parts car needs a bit of rust repair on the rear arches...

I was in a Euro market E21 when the E30 came out. To this day, the M3's the only one I find attractive (which is really a shame since E30s have so much goodness)..and it's the box flares that do the job.
