    Sure - factory box flares.

Not box flares, but on the subject of swollen competition cars: the Ford RS1700T. A stillborn rally car, it was superseded by the RS200. 350 hp, turbocharged BDT and rear wheel drive. More important for our discussion, all swole up.

OH your god! That Z4 is teh sechts!

And I have a particular fascination with the Fox Mustang. So, of course, I love the red one from the OP. I think the thing that's weird about that particular car, though, is that they didn't continue the black trim on the flares (or eliminate it from everywhere else).

Opinion needed. Box flares on an XR4Ti: yea or nay? Seems like it would work with the style, and it's certainly period-appropriate. Never seen it, though.

I like everything about this car but the hood.

One thing I'm curious about, though, is when you got to box flares like this, what do you do on the front end to push the wheels out? Rear is easy - it's a stick axle, so you just widen it.

But how do you push the front out without totally mucking up the geometry and scrub radius?

No more cool XR4Ti pictures. I want mine to go away, stop tempting me to keep it.

Has the Porsche 944 been submitted yet? I think they did a very good job.

Actually in this car uses 17x9 wheels up front and 17x11 wheels out back. No need for widening anything.

The aftermarket is pretty good for the Mustang when it comes to camber/caster plates, ackerman correcting tie rod adapters and sweet tubular crossmembers and control arms. The rear is where people get in trouble. The best resolution I have used on the rear is the Kenny Brown setup, apparently the Griggs and Maximum Motorsports are even better yet.

Do some searching for mid to late 70's IMSA GT racing, concentrating on the GTU class and the name Frisselle.

The car pictured is (or is a good copy) on the car he campaigned against Bob Sharp (in another Datsun) and whole bunch of Porsches in the under-2.5 liter class.
