Open trailer towing with wet conditions and open race car
What is a good low buck method to seal race car windows (i.e, no glass on sides and rear only lexan windscreen) when towing on an open trailer in the rain? I was going to use 3-5mm plastic and duct tape around the windows? Any other ideas on what people have done?

I wrap the seats in plastic and let the car cope :) Then again, that particular car has no roof.
We had a very heavy cover made that fit tight and had a drawstring around the bottom, but before that we covered the seat like Keith said.

I made polycarb inserts that just sit on the old lip and outside the top rail. I remove them when I get there. They are nice for keeping the seat dry when it sits outside overnight in the paddock too.
I guess if its an open car you could make a cover out of sheet polycarb or aluminum pretty easy too.
Would a boat cover type set up with male-female snaps interfere with aerodynamics? 1/2" diameter buttons every six inches.....

The plastic will probably blow out. It's neccesarily a low-buck solution, but a solution nonetheless:
Go "boat style;" buttons secured with self tappers. Find someone who does upholstry (hopefully cheap,) to make a vinyl "sheet" to wrap around the open windows. Sort of like the car on the left, but "backwards."

Packing tape works better than duct tape.
Plastic tablecloths have pretty flower patterns and such.
Plastic trash bags works pretty durn well. Especially if you X across them to control the flapping and tearing.
Shiny surfaced cardboard pulled from the trash is surprizingly water resistant.
You can build up the entire window with carefully spaced strips of packing tape.
Aluminum foil wrapped around the door works.
Back in the bad ol '70s. I covered my B/Gas digger with a heavy canvas tarp and bungy cords.
Towed backwards on a homemade steel trailer.
It covered all but the front wheels. and kept everything under it nice and dry no matter what the storm
I'm just going to pull the seat cover off my kirkey seat and put it on when I get to the track.
walmart car cover plus a tractor supply mesh tarp (really any tarp) or one of those bungee nets works OK. Anywhere the cover flaps it will probably tear.
Also you might want to check into the sweet plastic wrap tow truck drivers use to seal up wrecks when its raining. I've never seen it for sale but I've seen it in use and its very effective.

My girlfriend was nowhere near as proud. I just got a blank stare like i had spouted a second tongue from my elbow.

That's what I do. I plan to have a snap down cover for towing and a 'bikini top' like the Jeep guys use made for the Jensenator. The bikini top will be for rainy events.

Stop by a dealership the first few days of the month and get their vinyl window banners from the previous month's sales promotion. They are made to be hung outside, last a heck of a long time, and are free! I've used them as tablecloths when camping, windbreaks on an EZ up, and to line the tire storage area in my car trailer. Cut to size and tape.
Thanks for the ideas, just needed a jump. So here is what I came up with and it was all at home. You just never know what you will need one day. I still had the windows from the 2002 and used as templates then used a plastic shelf shields to make the inserts.
Still need to make the rear window, but got both sides done tonight!
It even looks like GRM solution I think
