And what's the mpg on it? Enough to put the new hybrids to shame I'll bet.

I really like it. And it probably only weighs about 1700-1800 lbs. Back when I was in college I could get upper 40s mpg in my CRX on the highway. The best ever was 49 point something. One way from the house to college was just short of 500 miles which was about 11 gallons of gas! Take that Insight!

    FYP,

    Much more appropriate comparison.

I wish I had pics and a time sheet of my first autox back in the 80's in my Civic. Same colour, but the sedan with the 1.2. Slow, slow, slow. I loved it to death.

Awesome. I LOVE how it sits.

I'd really love to see it on some oldschool wheels w/ wider rubber, though. Hell, even a slightly stretched tire on some 13" black Diamond Racing wheels would look incredible on that thing.

Still--fantastic little car. Turned out great.

My 1800 lb honda also get 50s mpg, with airbags, abs, ac, and 300k miles on it. :p And thats at 75mph, not 55 like back then..

But undeniable technological/mpg superiority over 70s-80s cars aside.......

I really like the way that car looks. It's definitely got some panache that a newer honda hatch lacks.

don't see any Honda's in you garage... ????

Came out nice! Maybe you could lose the little bumper filler 'splitter' on the front and leave it bumperless... those were innovative little cars. The swirled/stratified combustion chamber thing was like something out of science fiction.

What kind of Honda is that, a Goldwing?

Insight. I bought mine for about what a nice CRX Si costs (although it accelerates more like a dx).

    Much more appropriate comparison.

    Indeed..

    Oops.. fixed.

To everyone about the dealer stripe. I have every intention of getting back on there. I have to wait two weeks or so for the paint to cure before I do so. But it will be there!

I like the bumperless look, but I don't like the incompleteness there without it. Plus I do want it to look pretty much stock as well.

Thanks for all the compliments, folks!

Love the paint, I've a 87 wagon that is close to the same color, hoping to get a respray in the next couple of months.

Thank you, fellas. I'm torn on putting the bumper back on. I guess I need to do it to see which way.
