Just have to say that it was a very nice piece. Hard to write about, hard to witness and be a part of, I am sure, but you did a fantastic job. I can't imagine the bashing that guy would take had any other magazine been involved. As classy as it gets, sir, my hats off to you.

Yeah. I have not read it yet, though.

Thanks. It was a tricky one to write. Actually, I did most of the writing while my wife and I were on vacation, and I could clear my head of the rest of my duties and sort of focus on that. So I suppose Princess Cruises deserves at least some of the credit.

As for bashing, I'd hope another reasonable person would take the same view of it that I did. I've made plenty of mistakes in my time. Thankfully, most of mine have not had major consequences, or been terribly public. If someone is a bad person I have no problem calling it like I see it. If someone who is not a bad person happens to do a bad thing, well, they probably have plenty of company on that list.

I'm glad you guys liked and appreciated it.

Oh well, I hope that the mag will turn up soon then.

I even have mine up in Canada and they normally show weeks after you guys get them in the US.

    I'd put out an APB!

And yes I applaud that article it was well written about a difficult situation.

    Not again .

You could get the impression that someone somewhere along the line between the GRM office and my mailbox reads all my GRMs (and occasionally my CMs, too).

Never had a problem with getting the magazine when we lived in the city of Lost Wages but moving up here in the sticks and my car mags get delayed or don't show up at all.

Oddly enough the photography magazines from the UK turn up on time, like a clockwork.

I haven't even cracked the new issue. I guess I should hurry up and do so. I'm intrigued...

Should be! There's a reason that he's writing more articles now - he's really good at it!

JG, it's classy of you to say that other mags would have the same level of professionalism and maturity, but they wouldn't, at least not like you did. Keep it up.

I've read the article in Canada too, and one of my former complaints is that guys on the forum start discussing the articles two weeks before I see the mag. Not so this time.

A few months ago I even bought a copy of the issue with the Challenger on the cover because i just couldn't wait for my sub to show in the mail.

    I like this system better.

I read the article. Fascinating and VERY well done. Bravo.

Also--major props to GRM in general for putting out such a hefty issue in a time where most mags are mere leaflets.

It's in the top three of my all-time favourite GRM articles (that list also includes Charles Espenlaub's article on the fire in his Miata, and, because I am a man, the junk yard girls article with a title I can't remember, and images I can't forget) .

I agree, this was an outstanding article!

Ditto - I'd agree with this list, although honestly I didn't think the girls pictures were that provocative (not that I would want them to be, actually)
