The pics are great, and the Kwak-green looks accurate on my screen. Sure hope that smoke screen was intended to address the local mosquito problems.

Per, we're waiting for an update!

Nice shots. I haven't read all the write-ups on this build, but can someone talk about that wing? It looks crazy-large for that car. And is it completely necessary/functional/worth-the-weight at autoX speeds?

The original ZX10R breather was sucking oil into the intake. Switched to puke tank and oiling issues were solved....

On that lot, the aero wasn't going to work...too slow of speeds. Faster lots, definite aero advantage. The wing is actually small for BMod specs, or rather, I've got another 3 square feet to use within the 8 square foot maximum. That'll probably be used on the nose.

The entire wing assembly, including mounts, weighs 20lbs. I'm losing 3lbs with a switch to a carbon upper element, bringing it down to 17. A comparable (in terms of area) carbon 2 element wing weighs about 15lbs with mounts. Custom carbon wings are about 3k...

Jeez, does that thing have a 6' wheelbase, or what?

    Nice shots, dirtybird.

And oddly enough, you can see Stig's Dad's Dad in the third shot taking a picture

    80" minimum for BMod....so 6.66 feet

    Are afterburners allowed in BMod?

I wish. I at first though it was the fact that the engine went through a tumble cycle before it got to me. I'm running the oil high to keep it from starving during cornering--but probably too high and thus it sucked into the intake.

So your wing is adding 20lb of downforce at zero miles per hour.

    Exactly.

The main element is a nice cross section with a boatload of camber. obviously designed by a smart person. I'm just playing with the secondary elements.

Oh, and by "mounts" I'm including all of the stuff that you see north of the fiberglass. I'm happy with how light it is...

It's actually noticeably tail happy at autocross speeds w/o the wing.

Have you played with putting 20lbs of ballast without the wing is with it off to to see if it is weight or aero download providing the extra grip?

Wait! There's people autocrossing already!?? The only thing I'm dodging up here is the occasional recently thawed skunk that tried to make a break across the road.

    I hate you guys :)
