I test drove one of these when they were new. Couldn't convince myself to get another French car (my first car was a Dauphine). Sales woman was stunning. Car was nice too.

One of the few french cars I'd really like to own. Unfortunately it would have to be an immaculate one because I dont want to deal with a basket case. But an immaculate one would be priced higher than I'd be willing to endure for a french car.

One day I will own a 505. I almost bought one but the seller flaked out on me.

The only luxury performance sedan I've owned... and I wouldn't own another. Mine was a dark green 1991... they were only imported in 89 and 91

Rad support is pressed plastic even small stones(road debris) can damage it. For fwd they are crappy in poor conditions. 3rd brake light filiment burnt slightly... it kept the ABS system off untill I spent about $250 on an ABS wiring trace

My wife had the dark green '91 MI 16 when we were dating. Had an inch thick stack of warranty repair receipts in the glove box. When everything worked it was a blast. Everything didn't work too often.

ABS would fail randomly. Technically the brakes didn't lock, but they didn't stop the car either. When the car would stop with the parking brake, the system would rest and be OK for an unknown number for days or weeks. Dealer couldn't find anything wrong with it. Seatbelts retractors in the back wouldn't retract. Retractors in the front would lock with the power belt track trying to crush you in the seat. Thankfully the seat reclining mechanism would work. There's plenty more that would fail, and that was back when the car was still new.

I wouldn't recommend one to anybody.
