I've cut up a few cars, and I'm only 22. So I was thinking of what you wacky GRMers have done in your oddball automotive lives.

Heres my latest part out, my '90 240sx. Engine blew drifting (was trying too, oil had 8K+ on it....) and then my friends light weight trailer ramps failed, so the frame was shot, and one rocker panel.

    So it turned into:

And then I tore off the good parts and scrapped it.

So GRM, what have you done to your cars at the end of their lives?

I had a Spitfire hulk to get rid of. I had parked it in my Mom's back yard for a couple of years, but meanwhile, neighbors put up fences. I took a common hand axe, a hatchet, and chopped it up into little pieces. It was suprisingly easy. The little pieces went to the County recyling facility.

It was my first chop. One thing I learned, buy the good sawzall blades.

Old Festiva, sawzall, and some broken Formula nose cone, and we have Truckstiva.

    I actually got on Jalopnik!

In reply to MCarp22: Boxes? We don' need no stinkin' boxes.

On second thought, wrap the boxes up like presents, drive to a local shopping mall, and leave them in the car with the windows down.

When you come back, as if by magic, they will be gone ....

Did quite a few before digital cameras and the internet were invented but no pics left. Here's the only one I have a modern pic of. A 68 Lemans turned GTO clone. Was supposed to go to paint about a week after the fire that took out the interior. I bought it to get the engine and parted the rest of it. Pontiac purists were not happy with me.

My Camaro is pretty hacked up right now waiting for new sheet metal and money. Actually if I had not removed the rear of the car I would not have been able to fit the Miata in the garage and pull the engine.

I have NEVER hacked up a car. I can't bring myself to do it. There is always some part that can go on to help someone else out.

My rear quarter panals may go to a friend to patch his. Mine are "ok" and better then his. The front half may get saved for mocking up VQ swap stuffs. All the non unibody parts are going on my new s13 and are getting sold off little by little. So its still around.

Nice a corolla in a box. I'll have to show that to my friend that has like 3-4 of them, he'll get a kick out of it.

    Any one else?

I just did that to a Scirocco. No piece big enough that it couldn't fit inside the trunk of my car.
