Should the ring end gap be larger on a boosted motor?

I am building my new short block. Stock 65mm cast pistons that have been machined for a slight compression ratio drop, Ceramic coated tops and skirts coated in DFL. The service manual listed the ring end gap at .0079-.0130. I just grabbed a .008 feeler gauge and set them up nice and tidy.

Then it occurred to me that perhaps that might need to be changed for 15psi.

    Thoughts?

I don't have any hands-on experience with setting internal clearances but I would think so, yes. Let me dig out my instruction sheet for some SRP pistons I had a machine shop fit and install... These were forged so they would grow more than a cast piston but I'd say you still have to give it a larger gap for the extra heat.

Your piston to wall clearance should be larger too but if you're using stock sized pistons in a motor that already has some miles I think you'll probably be okay.
