    Most definitely grassroots .

Also, I found this photo during my interweb travels this afternoon:

Somewhere in the UK, circa 1980.

Nice work! I can honestly say I have never seen anybody put a go kart on top of a civic before! Definitely grassroots!

You have an attitude about mid-westerners pal! My boys are 14, and yes, they run the same course. The class is FMA (Formula Junior A). I used to run the Civic, and actually ran 85-91 Civic and CRX si's throughout the 90's. So I'm looking forward to getting back into it. The 4 wheel dollys that most the guys use to carry their kart(s) from the pits to the track gave me an idea. I think I'll get a small trailer to haul the kart next year. Then I'll make a front wheel assembly and handle that can be quickly attached to the trailer so I can haul the kart around the pits without needing a truck to haul a dolly in.

Before it goes in GRM, I would add one of these on top of the cart:

In Sprint Car World, that would be "hangin' a right".

If the kart was on top of an E30, would it be more Grassroots? Because I've done that. This is no different!

Okay, I turned the car around so that the GRM decal shows in the picture.
How's this? Good enough to get in the mag? I have to admit that it's not the best side of the car!

We have a local guy that started bringing his grandson to autox's to run his go-kart. Now, it's a Wal-Mart style flat cart with semi-knobby tires and a 3 horse Briggs on the back painted lime green. The best part is that they bring it in strapped over the motor cowl of the grandpa's beat-up Karmen Ghia. Priceless. The kid goes hell-for-leather and has a great time, even if he is slower than the highschool kid in the clapped out civic.

    This is hillbillly:

I went to high school with a kid who's family built that. or one just like it.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes attracts a lot of odd material

If they're running the Dunes, they may not be a redneck! Around here, something like that has a 20% chance of being someone's wedding limo.

Absolutely cool. I get a big kick out of watching the kids run. I guess it's like a baseball fan watching Little League or something..

I know what you mean. Last weekend the finish had a pretty sharp turn before it. I really got a kick out of seeing them come around that corner with the tail hanging out just a little bit, enough to know they were on the edge, but not enough to slow them down. At that moment I realized they get it.
BTW, I never felt like that when they were playing little league!
