I'll have to agree with Jeremy Clarkson- Porsche designers are a bunch of lazy cocks.

Specs may be nice, but until Porsche and it's fans can grow beyond the shape -or nose- of a 911, it's all just comical.

I guess they are bringing it to the US. I just saw a commercial and they mention something about "no compromise"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so they mean other then the fact that it clearly is not a full out sports car, and they clearly have styled it after the 911, including the rear end, despite the fact that it is a front engine car!

I can't wait to see the Porsche pickup truck... hey why not at this point.

Thought I saw a conversion that Top Gear test drove once. Forgot the name though

So Mansory takes a stab at copying an F430 nose, a pile of goofy looking air scoops and some huge wheels and calls it an improvement? Well, I do like the wheels but Yikes - that is uglier than it was before.

I think it's better than stock. That's a rare feat as most add-on kits look awful.

Saw one of these in person thanks to my friend who works at the local Porsche dealer.

In person it's an attractive car. It looks long and low in person. The back end doesn't come accross as copied 911. Interior room is excellent front and rear. The front door could be a little longer, but this would come at the expense of rear seat egress. Materials and fit/finish on the interior are typical Porsche, so very nice. The front calipers are SILLY big. The fact that the rear seats fold flat and the car is basically the biggest meanest most awesomest 5-door hatchback is Excellent. Overall If I were a person that would spend 90K on a new car, not 50billion miatas, and needed a 4-door I would put one in my Driveway.

The Panamera looks like a bad photoshop.

I get "brand identity". That doesn't mean you have to use the same damn headlights on every vehicle you make.

The new Aston Martin Rapide is how a sports car company should build a four door. The Panamera is just horrible. I have seen better looking things at the bottom of pond.

It is indeed an ungainly, platypussian sort of design. But holy E36 M3, you totally forget about the looks once you put your foot down. That thing has monstrous power, and despite its length, sticks like glue on-track. Inside, dash looks like a cronographers orgy, there's a freaking dial for everything. I still think it's ugly, but overall, it surprised the hell out of me.

I saw one on friday in san francisco driving around. Weird looking, at first sight it looked like a 4 door maserati but something was off. Funky but porsche wants the chinese market.

Hate it, hate it, hate it. The Cayenne was bad enough, and now this? When is the Porsche Hybrid coming?

Stuttgart's leadership needs to be sacked!

the commercial for that car is AWESOME!

I've only seen it once, but I noticed there was no 928 in that group and I don't think there was a 914.

As for the Panamera--I just can't get past those odd proportions. It's still very clunky to me.

All the car company's have made ugly cars. Have you forgotten the AMC Pacer? or the Caddy with that goofy trunk that was supposed to remind us of the "old" cars of the 20's? Alfa has mad some trully horridly bodied cars that handled well. I see this as no different. It will sell because it is a Prosche and people see it as a status symbol. Do I want one? No. But I don't want a 911 either.

The Caddy was a Seville, my barber used to have one.

I saw the commercial on tv over the weekend. I really like the commercial, but really what were they thinking? Really, who is the ad agnecy idiot who came up with this? They show like 50 cars thorughout the commercial and the only one that has zero appeal to me is the only one they are trying to sell with the commercial? The message I get from the commercial isn't "how cool the new 4 door car is and look at it's great lineage." I get, "in the past we made some kick ass cars, and now we made this ugly piece of crap."

If that is what they need to do to make money to build the cars I can dream about then ok, but they should look at getting a new ad agency unless their targeted demographic is those with more money than sense.

My coffee was gone by the time I read that, but the sentiment is the same.
